Watch The First U.S. Trailer For VIKINGDOM

IGN has a brand new quick trailer on its YouTube portal for director Yusry A. Halim's period fantasy swordplay epic, Vikingdom. The film currently had its Malaysian premiere on Thursday, with other forthcoming releases in other territories planned, courtesy of Universal Photographs.

The film bows in North America for a limited theatrical, 3D release on October 4, 2013, and stars Dominic Purcell, Craig Fairbass, Natasha Malthe, Jon Foo and Conan Stevens, with a script by James Coyne.

SYNOPSIS:

In the midst of time comes the clanging of steel against steel, a collision of myth and history.... "Vikingdom". Based on Viking legends and the epic poems they left as record, "Vikingdom" is a fantasy, action adventure about a forgotten king, Eirick, who was tasked with the not possible odds to defeat Thor, the God of Thunder.  

Thor is on a mission to collect the crucial ancient relics - "Mjolnir" - his hammer from Valhalla, "Necklace of Mary Magdalene" from Mitgard and the "Horn" from Helheim. This needs to be achieved before the Blood Eclipse, which occurs once each 800 years, failing which, the pagan Viking Gods will by no means be able to rule and conquer mankind ever once again.  

Only 1 man can quit him... Eirick, the undead.
