Well Go Delivers Its New Trailer For The US Release Of DRUG WAR

Director Johnnie To's latest crime thriller, Drug War, is set to hit choose screens this summer season, with Nicely Go USA and Variance teaming up to premiere the film in New York, Los Angeles and Canada between July 26 and August 9. The film, starring Louis Koo as a drug lord who is forced to go undercover to assist police finish a major cocaine ring, was a box workplace accomplishment back in April and was a major seller at the European Film Marketplace earlier this year, so I am inclined to think this film is fairly excellent. But, I digress, and will wait for its release to judge for myself.

The film also stars Sun Honglei, Wallace ChungGuangjie LiMichelle YeXiao CongYin ZhushengGao Yunxiang, Crystal HuangWang Siya and Siu Fai Cheung.

SYNOPSIS:
Manufacturing just fifty grams of meth in China will earn you a death sentence, and Timmy Choi (Louis Koo) has manufactured tons of it. After a violent lab accident, he's in the custody of Captain Zhang (Sun Honglei), and now he has only one opportunity to stay away from execution: turn informant and support Zhang's undercover team take down the powerful cartel he's been cooking for.  But as the uneasy allies are forced to compress months of police work into just 72 sleepless hours, the increasingly desperate police are speedily stretched previous their limits.  As things spin wildly out of manage, the line among duty and recklessness is blurred, and it becomes unclear whether the cop or the criminal really has the upper hand.

Lengthy regarded the master of the Hong Kong crime thriller, Johnnie To's very first mainland production eschews "two guns at when" mayhem in favor of atmosphere and a tightly-wound plot punctuated with impeccably choreographed bursts of violence, making DRUG WAR an intricate puzzle box of a film that ignited a firestorm of controversy in its homeland.
