The New Trailer For RIGOR MORTIS Is Online

Chin Siu-Ho stars in the latest reimagining of the Chinese vampire hunter genre in Juno Mak's directorial debut from his Kudos Films production banner, Rigor Mortis, written by Jill Leung and Phillip Yung. J-horror visionary filmmaker Shimizu Takashi, most regarded for his operate on Ju-On 1 and 2, and the American adaptation of each films titled, The Grudge, also created the film which is slated for release later this year.

Fortissmo Films picked up the international sales rights outdoors Hong Kong and China back in March.

Chin, a Hong Kong cinema veteran and action legend, is very best identified for his personal part in many Chinese vampire kung fu comedy genre hits in the 1980's, headlined by the late actor/action director/filmmaker and legendary Hong Kong stuntman, Lam Ching-ying.

In this eerie and chilling, modern, action/unique effects laden homage to the classic Chinese vampire motion pictures of the 1980's, writer-director-producer, Juno Mak makes his feature directorial debut. Co-produced by J-Horror icon Takashi Shimizu, and reuniting some of the original cast members of the classic MR VAMPIRE series, RIGOR MORTIS is set in a creepy and moody Hong Kong public housing tower whose occupants we quickly learn, run the gamut from the living to the dead, to the undead, along with ghosts, vampires and zombies.

RIGOR MORTIS stars action film veteran Chin Siu-ho (Siu-ho) as a former vampire hunting actor who now finds himself reaching the finish of the line as a washed-up star, separated from his wife and alienated from his son. Down on his luck and with barely a dollar to his name, he checks into area 2442 in the housing estate, an allegedly haunted flat. His aim is to end his misery by undertaking himself in, but rather Siu-ho is interrupted by some of the other "occupants" of the building like a Taoist master-exorcist (Anthony Chan), a traumatized housewife with a tragic past (Kara Hui), as properly as a seemingly benign elderly lady (Paw Hee-ching) who has an empty coffin conspicuously hanging in the middle of her apartment.

Quickly it becomes apparent to Siu-ho that the people about him and the predicament are far from standard. In spite of his lack of belief in superstition, Siu-ho is soon thrust into the battle of his life as vicious vampires with unsettled company start to rise from the dead...
