Eddie Peng Claims The Title Of 'LEGEND'

Excitement looms over the upcoming development and impending production of director Roy Chow's upcoming film, Rise Of A Legend. In recent weeks,  martial arts actor and icon Sammo Hung's was attached to play the part of the villain opposite the legendary kung fu hero Wong Fei-Hung, along with actor Wong Cho-lam as Wong's disciple, in addition to Max Zhang, Biran Jing and Feng Jia Yi as part of the cast to join director Chow and action director Corey Yuen-Kwai.

Prior to this, earlier casting news nonetheless left fans asking yourself who would play the iconic role. Today, a report and a new set photo from Jayne Stars confirms current rumors mentioning the name of actor Eddie Peng, now set to take the helm, inheriting the character from a legacy of notable kung fu greats such as Kwan Tak Hing, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Angie Tsang, Vincent Zhao, and even Hung who played the part opposite Chan in the 2004 Disney family members adventure film, About The Planet In 80 Days.

Rise Of The Legend is made by Bill Kong with a screenplay by Christine To Chi-Lengthy that will focus on the early life of the kung fu master that saw his ultimate rise as a single of the greatest heroes of all time. The film will likely release in 2014.

Peng at present stars in the martial arts sports drama from co-writer and director Dante Lam, Unbeatable, along with Nick Cheung, Eddie Peng and Andy On.
