We not too long ago got to see a teaser back in April for filmmaker Sato Toya's reside-action adaptation of Tatsunoko's classic 1970's anime, Gatchaman, reminding fans that this was nonetheless ultimately happening.
This week, a brand new, full trailer has arrived on-line, breathing life this week into the globe of Japanese cinema. The film, based on a screenplay by Watanabe Yūsuke, stars Tori Matsuzaka, Go Ayano, Ayame Goriki, Tatsuomi Hamada and Ryōhei Suzuki, and will release the film on August 24, 2013, courtesy of Toho.
SYNOPSIS:
The five serve as agents of the International Science Organization in Tokyo in the near future. Galactor, a mysterious group whose technology far surpasses that of humans, has declared war on the entire planet and has already subjugated half of it. A mysterious crystal-like object known as a "stone," is humanity's only hope. Those who are in a position to draw out the power of the "stones" are forced to train to turn into specific agents in a five-individual team named "Gatchaman."
